The article talks about the trouble that happens after a post on Facebook. In some cases are troubles with employees, family but now there is a particular one, which is with insurance companies. The article related the story of Canadian woman who was diagnosed with “major depression”. Her insurance company finds some private pictures that she posted on her Facebook account and the insurance company uses them to cancel her benefits.
This article gets my attention because we can see how companies through the Internet can obtain their benefits. Even thought, in some cases like this one in particular the insurance company is using private information but their own benefit. It is very important how to face the reality that exists on Internet. Take care of our own privacy is a fact that everyone can have when navigate and post information on web. But companies as the insurance company also must respect our privacy and don’t use information for its benefit.

Salesforce.com is going to offers a social networking as a business service. This new service is called Salesfoce Chatter and each company will get their own secure. This service is social networking tool that offers a new way of communication in real time between employees in a company. Making employees to work as team. The features for the chatter include employee profiles, status updates, new feeds and others.
This article get my attention because as employer, we know that some companies don’t’ want to give the option to chat during working hours. In some jobs the communication between employees through of computer is more than necessary. For example, in Manhattan where some companies have small offices for their employees; in some cases there are three or more employees working in an office. This environment is a little bit stress for some of them because constantly are distracted by the conversation of any of coworkers. They sometimes need some advices to elaborate their work or simple have a little help with something. For cases like this or programmer’s environment, I think that companies should offer a social networking for their employees.

Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Number or ICANN declared that would be allowed to use non-Latin domain names written in languages such as Chinese, Japanese and Russia. Companies should protect their brand names by getting new local-language web addresses. This is the way which they will be identify in those languages for their online marketers without confuse their brand with other. ICANN will provide and give availability of “new “ domain names. Giving the adequate importance to the brand and non-brand terms of each company.
This article is interesting to me because we all know that the Internet is used around the world and this could signify that Internet could be more accessible globally and increase the number of global Internet users. I think that this decision helps to type more easily to any with n

Mac, Windows and Linux users can try the latest browser (Firefox 3.6 beta 1) that Mozilla is offering. This new version lets people modify the browser appearance. Faster execution of JavaScript means that pages load faster. It makes easier to drop and drag your files into the browser. HTML 5 video tags can be now viewed full-screen. And the facility to know which way it is pointing; detecting motion and orientation so it knows whether to be landscape or portrait.
As designers, it is imperative for us to be up to date with any browser’s newest upgrades. This is why this article called my attention and I thought it was relevant to our class.
